1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop effortlessly on its flat side against the floor, and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be cleaned, although this can vary based on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other models that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs' all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a number advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than just dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as required.

The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with a pair of spin mops that actually lift and scrub floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when required. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests with ease by avoiding pet hairs as well as other dirt. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.

Its navigation is smart it can navigate through narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can go from one room to the next without having to change direction. It also comes with an automatic hoover water tank filling system and washing system that is hands-free.

Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested to not have issues with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise as it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robovac we have ever tested. It also uses an innovative mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums cannot. The device also collects dust in a larger bin which means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which further reduces costs. This robot can detect carpets and increase suction when needed. The app allows you to mark areas you want to avoid, which is a nice feature.
