The cot is cushioned and features mesh sides for better the airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam for extra protection. It's also wipeable to keep it clean, and it comes with a fitted sheet that's suitable for the cot.

Contrary to other cribs that are large bedside cot, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to your bed, and it's packed with amazing features created with the bonding of parents and children in mind.

It is crucial to keep in mind that this crib will not last as long as when your baby turns six months old. You will need to purchase a larger cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent buy. She liked its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a fair price for such a cot. The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a safe night's sleep in mind. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of the bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.

It's made of soft material and features breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure to ensure security. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number in case you have any problems.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a bedside cot newborn crib, like being able to be connected to your existing bed using a stay-in place connection system and six height levels, the CoZee has an additional incline option which can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed in the machine essential for all the spills and vomit that come with a newborn baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice for keeping your child close during their first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it could transform into an crib. It won't feed your baby or magically make them sleep it will gently rock them and send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it has a lot of great features. It's designed to function as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable for babies up to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.

Our testers loved the easy access to the side panel, which can be lowered and raised at the touch of one button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach in and pick their baby up without disturbing them.

The side panel can be removed by itself however, it's not advised as it increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism ensures that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the bed of the parent correctly. This is an excellent feature to have for peace mind, especially when you're breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.

Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, including divan bases as well as beds with drawers. It also comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux and a rocking feature to bring them back to sleep after eating. It's also incredibly spacious and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our test subjects even with the lengthy instruction manual. It is a little heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one room to another. It's small enough to be able to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is a bonus in the event that you have to transport it. The only drawback our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't move as much as some of the other models, which made it a little harder to see your baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib co sleeper crib is a great option if you want a crib that can grow with your child. It's a co-sleeping crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be transformed into a stylish cot when your baby is old enough. Ideal for feeding at night and strengthening the bond between you and your new born.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, not like other cribs. Its dual-view mesh side panels and the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline helps to ease reflux and colic and colic, while the zip-down side allows you to feed or soothe your baby at night.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you require to get started. It took us around an hour to put together and was reasonably straightforward. The only drawback to the instructions was that some images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow the instructions. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of top quality.

In co-sleeping mode we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent option for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a c-section as it allows them to easily reach out to their newborn to feed and comfort them without having to climb out of their bed. It's a great option for parents who don't want to deal with the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot, or getting them out of it.

The motion of gliding was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies into sleep following meals at night or midday. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. The Joie Roomie Glide is a sleek and functional crib that isn't rocking, nor does it come with extra features like a sound machine.
